In-Kind Donations
September is Hunger Action Month!

We at Caritas of Austin raise our voices everyday against hunger by meeting the immediate needs of Austin's most vulnerable families through our Food Pantry. You can be a part of this effort by participating in our Fall Food Drive (September 1-December 31).
Organize your own food drive at your company, school, or neighborhood, or with friends or family to support the Caritas of Austin Food Pantry. For more information, contact Molly Sipe at (512) 479-4610, ext. 121 or msipe@caritasofaustin.org.
Caritas of Austin Food Pantry
With the rising costs of food and gas prices, many of our clients are relying heavily upon the Food Pantry at Caritas to help make ends meet. It’s a tough decision for anyone to make between feeding your family and putting gas in your car. Caritas relies upon the donations of non-perishable foods to provide take-home groceries to 4,000 households, most of which are single parent households with two children. These same clients need essential personal hygiene items and household products, infant supplies and baby formula. As the number of low income and working poor families continue to rise, Caritas of Austin is working harder to meet the demand through the generosity of our friends. Thank you for your commitment to help those in need.
Caritas Food Pantry needs non-perishable food and household items:
- Rice and beans (2-4 lb bags)
- Peanut butter
- Canned meats and stews (e.g. tuna, vienna sausage, Spam)

Household Items
Caritas of Austin sincerely thanks all of our donors who think of us when making a donation. We gladly accept donations of gently-used furniture and household items for our incoming refugee clients. Our Refugee Resettlement Program assists legally documented refugees from around the world that have been referred to Caritas by the Department of State. Many of the refugees are fleeing religious and political persecution. Often, we only have less than a week's notice to locate, secure and prepare housing in the community. Your gently used furniture and household items are greatly appreciated including beds, cribs, kitchen tables, chairs, linens, lamps, flatware, pots, pans and dishware. Please call 512.479.4610 ext. 172.
Clothing
Caritas of Austin does not have the capacity to accept clothing. If you are interested in donating clothing, we would encourage you to please take your items to St. Vincent de Paul Store at the address listed below. They generously donate clothing vouchers for Caritas clients.
