Saturday, June 17 - World Refugee Day Celebration

Join us for this free event at The Bullock Texas State History Museum, where you can learn about the cultures that continue to make Texas the diverse place it is today. The day will begin with a citizenship ceremony welcoming our newest Texans, and will feature live music, performances, and family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon. May 2017 - Salt Lick Year of Giving

The Salt Lick BBQ is celebrating their 50th anniversary by giving back to the community they love. During the month of May, 10% of all dessert sales at the original Driftwood location will be donated to Caritas of Austin.

May 19 through May 29 - Nautical Boat Club

For 10 days this month, Nautical Boat Club is benefitting veterans with a $100 donation to Caritas of Austin for each new membership purchased. Click here to learn more or call 512-261-2582.

Friday, May 26 - Chipotle Fundraiser

Make dinner a selfless act by joining us or a fundraiser to support Caritas of Austin. Come in to the Chipotle at 2320 South Lamar in Austin on Friday, May 26 between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone, or tell the cashier that you're supporting the cause, and 50% of proceeds will be donated to Caritas of Austin.

Saturday, May 6 - Austin Refugee Day Festival

Join us for a day of celebration honoring our growing refugee community. The festival will feature a soccer tournament, carnival games, mighty cone food truck, and photo booth. More information at atxrefugeedayfestival.com or download the flyer HERE.

Saturday, April 22 - Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors 

American roots band, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, will be playing at Antone's on April 22 as part of their Souvenirs tour. 20% merchandise sales at the show will be donated to Caritas of Austin. Tickets and information HERE.

 

March 2017 - Book People 'Exit West' Book Promotion

Local bookstore, BookPeople, is promoting sales for "Exit West" by Mohsin Hamid, with proceeds benefiting Caritas of Austin. Exit West is the fictional story of a young couple forced to flee their homeland and become refugees as they “emerge into an alien and uncertain future, struggling to hold on to each other, to their past, to the very sense of who they are”.

 

Wednesday, March 15 - ComboPlate Booking Roster Party @ Guero's

The Roster Party raises money for the Caritas of Austin Food Services programs, specifically the Caritas Community Kitchen and Food Pantry. The event is hosted and promoted by ComboPlate Booking. Each year, Caritas’ Community Kitchen provides over 85,000 free lunches to all who are hungry, and the Pantry provided over 40,000 meals in groceries last year.

Free and open to the public, live music will be provided by the artists on the ComboPlate Booking roster and other friends. Money will be raised by raffling off CDs from the artists and all band tips will go to support Caritas of Austin. Gift certificates from local restaurants, coffeehouses and businesses will also be raffled with all proceeds also going to Caritas. Learn more at: http://www.southbysoupfest.org.    

 

Tuesday, February 21 - Drink for a Cause

Join us at the Kung Fu Saloon on February 21st for drinks, games, fun folks, and giving back to Caritas of Austin. Kung Fu Saloon offers a full-service bar and classic entertainment like old-school video games, foos ball, and Skee-Ball. Plus on the 21st, 15% of all proceeds will go back to Caritas of Austin and our programs. So come have some fun with us while doing a lot of good! 


 

February 10: Palo Duro Single Release Party

Join Austin band Palo Duro for its Singler Release Party benefiting Caritas of Austin. A portion of the night's bar sales will be donated as well. The event will be at The Sidewinder (715 Red River Street) from 8pm-12am. View event page HERE.
