Utilities

Caritas offers one time assistance as well as long term utility assistance depending on eligibility and availability.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM : One-time rent or utilities assistance.

Program Eligibility: A documentable emergency within the last 30 days; household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines.

COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Utilities assistance, long term case management and life skills training.

Program Eligibility: Household income at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines.  You must also be willing to attend Caritas classes and monthly case management meetings.

Best Single Source-one time assistance: Rent assistance, long term case management and life skills training.

BEST SINGLE SOURCE PROJECT: Rent and/or utilities assistance, long term case management and life skills training.

Program Eligibility: Household income no more than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines; the ability to be self-sufficient within 3 months.
