DESCRIPTION:#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5\, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1\, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. \nDespite current shelter-in-place orders\, Caritas of Austin continues to build well-being by housing\, feeding\, and helping to employ our neighbors in need each day.  Because of our generous supporters\, we are providing 200 sack lunches daily and have housed 15 new neighbors since mid-March. \nCaritas of Austin needs your support today more than ever. It is taking more resources than ever to ensure people remain stably housed\, fed\, and supported during this time. \nInspired Giving\n  \nWe are thrilled to announce that The Meyer Levy Charitable Trust is making a lead gift of $50\,000 to help us raise needed funds! \nThe goal of this generous grant is to inspire individual giving on Giving Tuesday Now and shed light on the great need for Caritas of Austin’s services.
