World Refugee Day Virtual Celebration

The Refugee Roundtable of Austin invites the public to its annual celebration of World Refugee Day on Saturday, June 20th. This year’s event will offer live-streamed fireside chats with refugees and experts on refugee resettlement, new book readings from authors, language lessons and a variety of family-friendly downloadable activities. This event is one of the dozens that will take place across the nation to celebrate World Refugee Day.

12:45PM – Fireside Chat: The Experts of Refugee Resettlement
1:30PM – A reading from The Boy Refugee; A Memoir from a Long-Forgotten War. and Q&A with author, Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin
2:00PM – Special message from the Austin Refugee Roundtable with Russell A. Smith, CEO of Refugee Services of Texas – Austin and Simone Talma Flowers, Executive Director of Interfaith Action of Central Texas – iACT
