Host a Community Event

We believe in working together to end homelessness. Your event can make a difference.

More than ever,  we need community support. As we continue to house, feed and employ our clients, your helping hands are vital to our organization’s mission. See below for ways you can get involved:

  • Assemble Care Kits – socks, hand sanitizer (or some alternative), water bottles, Emergen-C, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap – all kits can be dropped off at our downtown location (611 Neches St.) for Caritas of Austin employees to distribute
  • Host a Food Drive for non-perishable items – please see our Wish List for items that are needed
  • Host a Hygiene Drive for urgently needed items: please see our Wish List for items that are needed

Ready to get started? Complete this form and someone from the Caritas of Austin team will follow up promptly.

Community Events FAQs

We will leave the production and promotion of the event to you. However, we love sharing news about community events on our website and social media channels. Provide an image, flyer, and any relevant hashtags, and we will be happy to help get the word out!

There are many ways your event can benefit Caritas of Austin. A donation bucket or percent of your proceeds is one way, but we've also partnered with food drives and gift card drives that provide a direct and impactful benefit to the people we serve. Events that raise awareness are also a wonderful way to build community support around the issues we address.

Caritas of Austin will decline partnership for any event that is associated with an organization or activity incompatible with our mission, or which is in support of or opposition to any political candidate or political party.
